"As spatial forms become frozen through boundaried and diverse practice, the viewer is left with an insight into the inaccuracies of our condition"

It all started innocently enough, really! Bob was alone in Brother Bears as the Rand McNally camera crew raced around town filming this, that, and everything else. Not for long though, because the flower power gang was there and Bob felt the power of the flower. Before he knew what was happening, Wham! he had needle & thread in hand and was happily (I knew he was happy because he was smiling)

We started by drawing out a design on a board, then spreading a beeswax pine resin mix over it. After it's set a couple of mins, the drawing shows through and we started to push the yarn into the wax using a stick with a flattened edge.
I couldn't blow a bubble for laughing when Diane took the Pic at the "chew in" for the Yellow Springs News Story about our Traveling Gum Wall. for the most fun town in the Rand McNally/USA Today Best of the Road Competion. That's stiff competition considering that many of the places in the running have HUGE populations compared to our village of 3,500. Just check the Fling in the Springs link or see the pics on the best of the road for Yellow Springs and you will see why.
We also have a fab Public Art Map now.
Yellow Tree for Yellow
There are many people who claim yarnbombing is a waste of time, waste of yarn, trite, not real art, and serves no purpose, yadda! yadda! yadda! Okay but what about it's IMPACT and I don't mean the unsubstanstantiated claims it harms trees(To date there is no evidence of this, however there is evidence that burning oil to generate electricity damages some trees, along with fertilizers, pestisides
